Where It Stands by Line
As of September 2026: Royal Caribbean opens show reservations on its larger ships in the app about a month before sailing and closes them a few days out, and its headline productions do fill. Princess and Celebrity take reservations through their planners from roughly four months out. MSC reserves through its app. Norwegian moved the other way. Since April 2026 its theater shows are reserved onboard only, so the first evening's app session matters. Carnival's main shows are largely first-come, so arriving early is the reservation.
The same logic covers specialty dining, the spa, and anything else with limited seats. We walk groups through the app the week reservations open, because a group that reserves the same show on the same night is a group that actually sees it together.
