St. Lucia

St. Lucia

Best Months

December–May (dry season)

Trip Length

7–10 days

Best For

Couples and honeymooners, Luxury travelers wanting Caribbean intimacy over resort corridors

The Caribbean's most dramatic island - twin volcanic peaks, a drive-in volcano, a harbor so beautiful sailors detour to see it, and a food scene that's quietly become one of the region's best.

Why Go to St. Lucia

  • -

The Pitons, twin volcanic spires rising from the sea, are among the most spectacular natural landmarks in the Caribbean. No photograph does them justice.

  • -

Unlike flat, resort-only islands, St. Lucia offers real terrain: hiking, waterfalls, sulfur springs, rainforest. Active travelers get far more than a beach.

  • -

Soufrière Bay, on the southwest coast below the Pitons, is arguably the most beautiful harbor setting in the entire Caribbean.

  • -

The island splits neatly into north (resorts, nightlife, Rodney Bay) and south (nature, intimacy, the Pitons). Most trips deserve both.
